STRecruiting: A change in plans with Franklin Whitley over the weekend; Florida State offers another in-state prospect

Greenville DE Franklin Whitley made an official visit to Florida State over the weekend. His original plan was to go to Auburn for the Georgia game. He also picked up an offer from West Virginia. He also visited for games this season Clemson, Virginia Tech, Georgia Tech, Georgia, USC and Alabama. He plans to visit Georgia again this coming weekend. He has USC down for October 25th and Florida on November 22nd. He has an official visit to Alabama set for November 15th.

2027 DT Seth Tillman of South Pointe was offered by Florida State. He was in for a visit Saturday. He also has offers from USC, Clemson, North Carolina, Georgia Tech, Kentucky, Syracuse, Georgia, Miami, Boston College, LSU, NC State, Maryland, Virginia Tech, Texas A&M, Arkansas and Vanderbilt.

USC made recent offers to 028 SAF Casey Barner (6-0 192) of Powder Springs, GA, 2028 CB Nate Dollard (5-11 160) of Charlotte  and 2029 DE DJ Dockery (6-3 195) of Washington, DC.

2027 CB Joshua Dobson of Catawba Ridge, a Clemson and USC target, went to LSU Saturday. This season, he has also been to games at Clemson, Oklahoma, Notre Dame, Tennessee, Penn State and Florida State. He saw USC play Virginia Tech in Atlanta and plans to visit the Gamecocks for the Alabama game.

Clemson target 2027 LB Cooper Witten was offered by Georgia Tech.

South Carolina target OT Jordan Agbanoma was offered by LSU.

2027 RB Kemon Spell of McKeesport, PA includes Clemson among the schools he’s now interested in after decommitting from Penn State.

2027 OT Ty Johnson of Lucy Beckham was offered by Coastal Carolina.

5-11 Emily McDonald, who had offers from Clemson and South Carolina, committed to Kentucky.
