From USC:

South Carolina women’s basketball senior Chloe Kitts has been diagnosed with a torn ACL in her right knee that requires surgery and will be out for the 2025-26 season. She is expected to have surgery this week.

“We hate this first for Chloe, who has worked incredibly hard to become the best version of herself on the court this season,” South Carolina head coach Dawn Staley said. “Her teammates are capable of stepping up, and I know that her competitive fire and tenacity will be felt from the sidelines as she pours what she can into them to ensure our team’s success.”

Kitts has been a starter for the last two seasons with the Gamecocks, helping the team to back-to-back national title game appearances, including the 2024 National Championship. She posted career scoring and rebounding highs last season – 10.2 ppg, 7.7 rpg – to earn honorable mention All-America honors. She was ninth in the SEC in rebound and eight in offensive boards at 2.82 per game. Kitts was especially dominant in the postseason, earning MVP honors at both the SEC Tournament and the NCAA Birmingham 2 Regional.
