INF Erik Parker is transferring from Georgia to South Carolina. As a freshman this season, Parker batted .250 in 16 games. Parker is a native of Suwanee, GA who was the 15th round draft pick of the Dodgers in 2024. In his senior season of high school ball, he batted .333 with four home runs and 28 stolen bases. Parker is the Gamecocks’ sixth player transaction out of the Transfer Portal.
Western Kentucky transfer center fielder Ryan Wideman was at Clemson Saturday for a visit, according to On3 Transfer Portal. Wideman, the son of former Clemson basketball player Tom Wideman, is one of the top available talents in the Portal after hitting .398 with ten home runs, 68 RBIs and 45 stolen bases in his one season at Western Kentucky following two seasons at Georgia Highlands JC. Alabama is also strongly in pursuit.
South Carolina is losing shortstop Henry Kaczmar to the portal. He transferred to USC from Ohio State prior to this past season. He started 53 games and batted .315 with six homers and 28 RBIs.
Clemson offered 2027 SAF Marquis Bryant (6-0 190) of Rolesville, NC following a camp appearance Saturday. He also visited Clemson in March. Last season, he had 85 tackles with eight pass deflections and two interceptions. He also has offers from South Carolina, Louisville, Kentucky, Georgia Tech, Michigan, Nebraska, Michigan State, Indiana, North Carolina, Wisconsin, Notre Dame, Tennessee, Florida State, Texas A&M, Penn State and others.
Clemson offered 2027 CB Jayden Aparicio-Bailey (6 2 185) of Birmingham on Friday. He was at South Carolina on Thursday. He was at Tennessee on Saturday. He’s also camped at Florida and Georgia and has other stops coming up at Oregon, Auburn and LSU. Some of his other offers are South Carolina, Florida, Oregon, Texas, Georgia Tech, LSU, Kentucky, Alabama, Auburn, Tennessee and Georgia.
South Carolina offered 2028 OT Daven Reed (6-4 315) of Roanoke, VA after watching him in camp. He also holds offers from Louisville, Duke, South Florida, Syracuse, Liberty and Virginia Tech.
DE Gustaf Henriks Ras of Sweden, who was offered by South Carolina after camp on Thursday, was offered by Ole Miss Friday after working out in their camp.
Dutch Fork WR Stone Furrey, son of South Carolina receivers coach Mike Furrey, camped with the Gamecocks on Friday.
2027 OL JR Saunders (6-5 280) of Woodberry Forest, VA plans to visit South Carolina on June 11th.

6-8 Justin Caldwell of Fayetteville, NC, plans to visit South Carolina on June 17th. He also visited USC in November of last year. He has signed to play with Overtime Elite this year. Some of Caldwell’s offers include Seton Hall, Oklahoma State, Xavier, Maryland, Georgetown, Memphis, Ohio State, Mississippi State and Iowa.
