STRecruiting: Clemson remains front and center with primary defensive tackle target Bryce Perry-Wright

Clemson defensive tackles coach Nick Eason has long had his eyes focused on DT Bryce Perry-Wright (6-3 260) of Buford, GA. Over the weekend, Eason and the Clemson staff got to do their recruiting thing with Perry-Wright and his family as they were in for their official visit with the Tigers.

“The visit to Clemson was truly amazing,” Perry-Wright said. “It felt like home. The energy on campus was special from the coaches to the players to the overall atmosphere; it just felt like a place built on family, culture, and winning. It was a blessing to experience all of that.”

Perry-Wright has been no stranger to Clemson throughout the recruiting process. He’s made multiple visits. He also has ties to the program through his cousin, former Clemson star defensive tackle Grady Jarrett, and his uncle, current Tiger defensive end Armon Mason. The weekend visit was another comfortable fine for him around the program.

“I spent time with Coach Eason, Coach (Chris) Rumph, pretty much the whole staff, and of course Coach (Dabo) Swinney,” Perry-Wright said. “Their message was clear: they believe in me, not just as an athlete but as a leader and a young man with a future beyond football. They broke down how I’d fit into the system, how they plan to develop me, and that they see me as a priority. I left feeling genuinely wanted and respected.”

It’s no surprise then that Perry-Wright is being projected to commit to the Tigers.

“Clemson definitely moved up on my list after this visit, Perry-Wright said. “I’m feeling really good about them. This visit helped a lot—it gave me a full picture of the culture, the brotherhood, and how I’d be developed on and off the field. They made a strong impression, no doubt.”

Perry-Wright has also visited Auburn. He has visits coming up with Georgia, Texas and Texas A&M.
