

Home regional sites for the College Baseball World Series were announced Sunday night, and two of the sixteen locations are in South Carolina. Clemson and Coastal Carolina were chosen to host the four-team regionals that will begin on Friday.
Clemson is 44-10 and lost Sunday to North Carolina in the ACC Tournament Championship Game. It is the 19th time since 1980 that Clemson hosts a regional and third year in a row. The Tigers will make their 47th NCAA Tournament appearance, fifth most in NCAA history. Clemson joins Arkansas as the only programs in the nation to host a regional each of the last three years.
Coastal is 48-11 after winning the Sun Belt Conference Tournament Championship on Sunday. The Chants have been a host institution for NCAA Regionals six times, including three times on campus (2008, 2018, 2023). Coastal Carolina will make its 22nd NCAA Tournament appearances and the first under Head Coach Kevin Schnall.
All 16 host programs are guaranteed a spot in the 64-team NCAA Tournament field that will be announced Monday at 12:30 PM. Upstate will be one of the 64 teams as well after winning the Big South Tournament title.
