South Carolina redshirt freshman offensive lineman Kam Pringle (6-8 336) has decided to move on. Pringle posted on his Instagram account Monday afternoon his intention to transfer.
Pringle is the first USC player to announce a transfer since the end of spring practice on Friday night.
Pringle signed with South Carolina for the 2024 class after an all-star career at Woodland High School. A Shrine Bowl selection, he was touted by some as the state’s top prospect that season.
Pringle committed to the Gamecocks on January 22nd, 2023 and chose them over Clemson, NC State, Georgia and Florida. He also had offers from Alabama, Texas A&M, Ohio State, Miami, Ole Miss and others.
Pringle was part of a much ballyhooed group of in-state linemen signed by the Gamecocks in 2023 and 2024 but to this point only starting left tackle Josiah Thompson has emerged as a major contributor.
Pringle will have four years of eligibility.
