Just over a month after USC’s basketball season came to an end, Gamecock forward Collin Murray-Boyles has decided on his future. The sophomore from Columbia is heading to the NBA.

On Tuesday morning, Murray-Boyles posted his decision to declare for the NBA draft via social media. The 6’8″ forward led the Gamecocks in scoring this season, averaging seventeen points per game, while collecting a team-best eight rebounds a contest.
“CMB,” as he was known, scored in double figures twenty-eight times for the Gamecocks this season, including a career-high 35 points in Carolina’s 72-53 blowout of Arkansas on March 1st. He was also one of the team’s best passers as well, finishing second on the club in total assists with 77. Unfortunately for the Gamecocks, Murray-Boyles’ robust numbers didn’t lead to team success, as USC posted a 12-20 overall record and 2-16 mark in the SEC.
The second-team All-SEC selection this year is a projected No. 10 choice in ESPN’s latest mock draft. The NBA draft lottery is scheduled for May 12th, with the draft slated for June 25th and 26th in Brooklyn, New York.
