ORLANDO: Missed scoring opportunities tells the tale of South Carolina’s 21-17 loss to Illinois Tuesday in the Cheez-It Citrus Bowl in Orlando. The Gamecocks wasted four scoring opportunities, including one in the final minutes inside the Illini 10-yard line, and as a result their six-game winning streak is over, and they failed to reach ten wins for the fifth time in school history.
The Gamecocks suffered their second straight bowl loss under Shane Beamer and finished the season at 9-4. They will return to the field next in Atlanta on August 31st against Virginia Tech.

Can’t believe they let bielema get away with all the slow defensive substitutions and the taunting they did absolutely nothing about, the officiating in all of college football has been terrible in many games and nee f s to be addressed, the constant substitutions always ran the play clock down to below 5 seconds before they could snap the ball making carolina to waste a time-out in the second half, which also disrupted the flow of the offense, which was a trash move by the Illinois coaching staff, also these options outs for athletes have to stop since they’re getting paid now, college sports is broke and needs fixing cause of the way the nil is ruining the sport and it’s hard to cheer for these athletes getting paid to much to sit out a ballgame especially not playing the 2nd half
