#STRecruiting: #Clemson lands a late Monday night commitment from Kansas offensive tackle

Clemson offensive line coach Matt Luke picked up the first piece for his 2026 recruiting group Monday night when Braden Wilmes (6-5 285) of Lawrence, KS. Wilmes made his announcement a couple of days after an unofficial visit for the USC game.

Wilmes also visited Clemson in early November. The Tigers offered him the wee after that visit.

Wilmes also has offers from Florida State, Duke, Northwestern, Wisconsin, Iowa, Iowa State, Arkansas and Minnesota. He also made a visit to Minnesota this season.

Wilmes is the fifth commitment for Clemson’s 2026 class.
