South Carolina returned to the AP Top 25 this week at #23. Tuesday night the Gamecocks were included in the College Football Playoff ranking for the first time since finishing 19th in the 2022 ranking.
The Gamecocks are ranked 21st and are one of three teams with three losses among the 25 ranked teams. Clemson, which is 7-2, moved up three spots to #20.
Oregon, Ohio State, Texas, Penn State and Indiana are the top five teams in the ranking. With losses Saturday, Georgia fell from 3rd to 12th and Miami dropped from 4th to 9th.
Boise State is the highest ranked team from the Group of Five at #13.
