Coastal Carolina football has fired offensive coordinator Travis Trickett two days after the Chanticleers dropped a 34-24 decision to Louisiana on Homecoming. In a media release, head coach Tim Beck announced that he’ll be adding to his workload on the sidelines.

“We appreciate everything Travis and his family have done during their time here at Coastal and wish them nothing but the best,” Beck stated in the release. “I will be taking over the duties of offensive coordinator/quarterbacks coach. As head football coach, I believe this is best for our team moving forward.”

Heading into their bye week, the Chanticleers are currently ranked fifth in total offense and scoring offense in the Sun Belt. Coastal (4-3/1-2) returns to action on Saturday, November 2nd, at Troy (1-6/0-3).
