There are new helmets, uniforms and attitudes at Newberry College going into the 2024 season. The Wolves have spruced up what their fans will see on the outside, but coach Todd Knight has to take care of what’s on the inside of those unis.
The Wolves slipped to a 4-7 record last season after back to back South Atlantic Conference championships and wins in 24 of their last 20 games. The offense slipped to under 20 points per game as the quarterback position was in flux much of the season. Knight feels that’s been fixed with the arrival of a pair of transfers with state ties. The defense was not too bad last season and figures to be even better this season.
The Wolves will have seven home games at Setzler Field beginning September 7th against Valdosta State.
