Sumter DE Anthony Addison (6-3 215) announced his commitment to the Gamecocks via X (Twitter), Friday.
Addison had visited South Carolina, Saturday, to watch the Gamecocks’ first major scrimmage of the spring. “They’ve told me I can come up anytime, so I went up there and got to watch them practice, and just strengthened my relationship with the coaches even more,” Addison said. “Got to get to know some of the players a whole lot better. It was a good visit.”
Addison posted 6 sacks and 25 TFL in his junior season, helping Sumter finish 11-2. The edge rusher is the fourth USC commitment for the 2025 class and second on the defensive side of the ball, joining Abbeville SAF Damarcus Leach, who committed to the Gamecocks, Wednesday.
Addison also received offers from Tennessee, Duke, Georgia Tech, West Virginia, Coastal Carolina, Appalachian State, Charlotte, Cincinnati, Georgia Southern, Georgia State, USF, Liberty among others.
