The Carolina Panthers made a local splash recently as the team traded into the first round to select USC WR Xavier Legette. First-year Panthers GM Dan Morgan said the team wanted to move up in the draft to “go get our guy.”
In the second round, Carolina added more offensive punch by selecting Texas running back Jonathon Brooks. Fellow Longhorn TE J’Tavion Sanders was picked in the fourth round, with the Panthers utilizing their other draft selections to bolster the defense.
