USC opened spring football practice Tuesday morning, and one of the top area prospects on hand to watch the Gamecocks at work was CB Onis Konanbanny of Heathwood Hall. He was joined by his head coach, former Newberry College star receiver Tymere Zimmerman. Konanbanny has also been to Clemson and Miami this spring. He has official visits in June set with North Carolina, Penn State and Tennessee. He said he would also take one with the Gamecocks.
TL Hanna CB Cam Strong named a final four of Duke, Georgia Tech, NC State and West Virginia. But USC and Clemson remain the mix. He plans to visit USC for their spring practice Thursday and Clemson for a practice March 25th.
Charleston native TE Marshall Pritchett of Rabun Gap, GA tells us he will be ready to announce his college commitment Saturday. He made visits in January and February to North Carolina, Duke, Miami, Georgia Tech, Georgia and Wisconsin. He has also been involved with USC.
South Carolina and Clemson will be two of the six programs who will get one final weekend with OT David Sanders of Charlotte before he makes his college choice. Sanders revealed to the recruiting networks Monday he has set dates for six official visits starting April 19th in Columbia with USC. Sanders also visited USC last April, and he was in for a game in November. Sanders second official visit will be to Clemson for the Tigers’ lone official visit weekend of the summer May 31st. Sanders visited Clemson twice last week. He was in on Sunday for a regular visit and returned with a couple of teammates for a spring practice on Wednesday. He also visited Clemson last March and for the Florida State game last season. Official visit number three will be to Georgia June 7th. Next will come Tennessee June 14th followed by Alabama June 18th. The final official visit will go to Ohio State June 21st.
Clemson target OT Ziyare Addison was offered by Wisconsin.
USC offered SAF Carson Lawrence (6-3 180) of Chattanooga. He has been committed to Vanderbilt since last June.
OT Solomon Thomas of Jacksonville is scheduled to visit USC Tuesday for the Gamecocks’ first spring practice according to Tom Loy of 247Sports. Solomon has been committed to Florida State but is still visiting other schools. He is scheduled to visit LSU March 23rd, Florida April 5th and Miami April 12th. He visited Florida State in February.
2026 OT Zyion Guiles of Carvers Bay plans to visit USC Tuesday for the Gamecocks’ first spring practice.
Clemson and the College of Charleston are among the schools showing interest in 6-5 Mount St. Mary’s transfer Dakota Leffew according to the Portal Report. He averaged 17 points and 4 rebounds per game this season. He’s a native of Hampton, GA.
Charleston Southern guard A’lahn Sumler is in the Transfer Portal according to Rivals.
Winthrop guard Kelton Talford is transferring per Jamie Shaw.
Citadel guard Madison Durr is transferring. He was the team’s third leading scorer last season.
Three Coastal Carolina players have entered the Portal per Rivals, freshman guard Jacob Meyer, junior guard Jon Sanders and junior shooting guard Kylan Blackmon. Meyer averaged nearly 16 points and six rebounds per game this season.
Clemson women’s guard Ruby Whitehorn and USC women’s forward Sahnya Jah have entered the Transfer Portal per 94 Feet WBB.
