Ten has become a lucky number in Greenville, surrounding the Furman University football program. For the 10th time, the Paladins are in the FCS quarterfinals after recording their 10th win of the season this past weekend versus UT-Chattanooga. Oh, and by the way, it is the second straight year that Furman has won, you guessed it, ten games. Further, that 26-7 triumph over the Mocs last Saturday was Furman’s 10th straight win at home.

On Friday night, the Paladins hope to shake free of their lucky number as Furman squares off against Montana with a berth in the FCS semifinals on the line. The game is set to kick off just after 9 p.m. ET from Missoula, Montana, and will be televised nationally by ESPN2. The winner gets either South Dakota or North Dakota State in the next round of the playoffs.

Thursday, Furman head coach Clay Hendrix dropped by SportsTalk to recap his team’s season to this point and preview the matchup with the Grizzlies.
