A November to remember for USC turned into a night to forget Saturday night at Williams-Brice Stadium. The Gamecocks’ offense had no answers for the tenacious Clemson defense and was held to 169 total yards, their lowest output of the Shane Beaner era. The loss also cost the Gamecocks a bowl bid. They finish their season 5-7 as Beamer was unable to reverse the third year “curse” on Gamecock coaches. Only three since 1960 have had a winning record in year three.
