As the hoopla surrounding the infamous “Tyler in Spartanburg” call into Dabo Swinney’s radio show on Monday is starting to fade, the Tigers are getting down to the business of facing Notre Dame. Clemson will try to avoid its first three-game losing streak since 2010 as the Fighting Irish come to town for a 12pm kickoff on Saturday.
Wednesday night, Swinney met with the media to update the progress his team is making in preparation for Notre Dame. Swinney pointed out that running back Will Shipley, who is in concussion protocol following an injury at NC State, remains day-to-day.
“The medical people gotta say he’s good to go. I don’t get involved,” Swinney said. Shipley will have to pass through protocol before he’s able to play against Notre Dame. If not, Phil Mafah should get the bulk of the carries on Saturday.
