USC women’s basketball coach Dawn Staley has a run of talented bigs in in her program, and more inside presence is on the way. Friday night Staley and the Gamecocks landed a commitment from 6-5 Adhel Tac of Grand Prairie, TX. They beat out Georgia, Louisville and North Carolina for her pledge.
Tac made her official visit to USC on the weekend of September 22nd and from there it was just a matter of Staley being able to close the deal, as she has so many times before with the likes of other standout inside players like Alaina Coates, A’ja Wilson and Aliyah Boston.
Tac missed most of her junior season due to an undisclosed injury. She averaged 14 points and nearly nine rebounds per game in her sophomore season.
Tac is the second commitment for the 2024 class joining 5-5 Madisen McDaniel of Upper Marlboro, MD. This weekend Staley is hosting the state’s top prospect in the 2024 class in 6-2 Joyce Edwards of Camden.
