USC basketball coach Lamont Paris has another piece in place for his 2024 recruiting class. 6-6 Trent Noah of Harlan, KY announced Sunday afternoon a commitment to the Gamecocks. He also had Richmond, Seton Hall, Saint Louis, Stanford, Western Kentucky, Dayton and Butler on his short list.

Noah is a prospect Paris and staff started to follow with intensity during the summer AAU circuit. The Gamecocks eventually offered Noah in July and he took an official visit last month.

“On my official visit, I knew it was the one,” Noah said during his announcement on the On3 YouTube Channel. “Coach Paris and the staff are building something I want to be a part of. Their style of play and I feel like my game go hand in hand. I just couldn’t pass it up.”

Noah is a premier scorer who averaged 27 points and 12 rebounds per game last season and his offensive skills no doubt impressed Paris.

“He really likes my competitiveness and doing whatever it takes to help the team win,” Noah said after receiving his offer. “Obviously, everybody talks about my shooting ability, and my ability to guard the ball is a strong factor, and my basketball IQ.”

Noah has also gotten to know Paris during the recruiting process and feels he’s a coach that can make him a better player.

“It’s cool getting to know Coach Paris,” Noah said. “He’s from Ohio and he coached at Wisconsin, and on that staff he had really good teams. It’s exciting how they play and getting to watch them and how they do their stuff.”

Noah also took official visits to Seton Hall, Western Kentucky, Butler, Loyola of Chicago, Richmond and Dayton. He gives the Gamecocks two commitments for their 2024 class along with 6-9 Okku Federiko.
