USC gets a shot at number one again this Saturday afternoon in Athens, GA. The Bulldogs will be the 8th #1 ranked team in the AP poll the Gamecocks have faced. They went 1-6 in those previous encounters. Georgia, gunning for a third straight national championship, is an overwhelming favorite to beat the Gamecocks for a fourth straight time. But the Gamecocks will provide them with their first real test of the season after opening with blowout wins over UT-Martin and Ball State.
