Furman coach Clay Hendrix would never expect South Carolina to look past his team, even though they have Georgia around the corner. And with the Gamecocks losing last weekend, Hendrix definitely knows his Paladins will get the Gamecocks’ full attention Saturday night inside a sold-out Williams-Brice Stadium.
The Paladins are 1-0 and ranked as high as sixth in the FCS rankings this week. They’ve won eight of their last nine games and are an older, experienced team playing with a lot of confidence.
Thursday night on SportsTalk Hendrix joined us to talk about coming to Columbia and going big-game hunting.
