South Carolina could be on the verge of landing their first commitment for the 2026 class. QB Landon Duckworth (6-3 187) of Jackson, AL plans to announce his college commitment Friday, which will be a week after his visit to USC for their cookout. Duckworth also visited the Gamecocks for their spring game in April. Earlier this summer Duckworth made visits to Florida and TCU. His other offers include Nebraska, Texas A&M, Arkansas, Vanderbilt, Mississippi State and UCF.
Clemson Monday offered 2024 LB Bradley Shaw (6-1 215) of Hoover, AL. He was in for the cookout on Friday before going to Auburn Saturday. He visited Mississippi State Thursday. In June he took official visits to Arkansas and Notre Dame. Shaw also has offers from Texas A&M, Stanford, Alabama, Florida, Colorado and Maryland.
