The next USC target to make his commitment announcement will be CB Zy’marion Lang (6-2 170) of Sarasota, FL. He is scheduled to reveal his choice Sunday afternoon from a final four of USC, Pitt, Kansas State and USF. Lang never made an official visit to USC, but he did camp with the Gamecocks in June as well as in 2022. He also visited in the spring. He made official visits to Pitt and West Virginia and was scheduled to visit Kansas State earlier in the week. Lang is also a receiver and caught 28 passes for 470 yards and 5 touchdowns last season. The Gamecocks have been recruiting him primarily for the secondary.
USC and Clemson are hosting prospects today for their final recruiting event prior to the start of pre-season practice. Among the prospects slated to be at USC are DE Dylan Stewart and CB Jalewis Solomon in the 2024 class, DT Amare Adams, WR Thomas Blackshear, TE Ethan Barbour, DE Bryce Davis, DT Elijah Griffin, SAF Demarcus Leach, OT Gerrick Gordon of Ocala, FL and OT Solomon Thomas in the 2025 class. The Gamecocks will also have some committed players in the 2024 class in as well as prospects from the 2026 class. One of those is QB Landon Duckworth of Jackson, AL
The prospects expected at Clemson include most of their 2024 commitments, and Saturday 2025 TE Logan Brooking is scheduled to make an unofficial visit. Thursday the Tigers had a visit from 2025 safety Demarcus Leach of Abbeville.
Clemson target OT Jameson Riggs of Hiram, GA committed to Georgia Tech. He made an official visit to Clemson in early June and had the Tigers in his final 10 list.
USC target WR Jonathan Paylor is visiting NC State today, and he will visit North Carolina Saturday.
USC target RB Daniel Hill is only visiting Alabama this weekend. He had said earlier int he week he might squeeze in another trip to USC, but that will not happen.
USC and Clemson target OT Elyjah Thurmon will visit LSU this weekend.
OT Favour Edwin, who has interest from Clemson but no offer, plans to visit Alabama Saturday.
Clemson and USC 2025 QB target Ryan Montgomery visited Purdue Friday.
USC offered 2026 WR Keeyun Chapman and 2026 CB Jamarrion Gordon, of Jackson, AL.
2026 OL/DL Desmond Green of Timberland was offered by Virginia Tech.
2024 RHP Riley Goodman of Memphis committed to USC.
