USC target WR Jonathan Paylor of Burlington, NC has finalized his announcement plans. Paylor tweeted on Tuesday afternoon he will disclose his choice at 2:00 PM on August 5th at his school. Paylor has had USC and NC State as his top two though he included Maryland, Penn State and North Carolina in his tweet. In late June Paylor stated the Gamecocks were his favorite, but the Wolfpack appear to have made some in-roads with him in the last couple of weeks. On top of that, Paylor Tuesday told the NC State site Pack Pride that he will visit NC State July 28th and North Carolina the next day. He said he did not have any plans to visit USC again before his decision. All three national recruiting services have projected Paylor to the Gamecocks.

Clemson Tuesday night offered OT Elyjah Thurmon (6-5 275) of Hinesville, GA. He’s also a USC target. He camped at both places in June. The Tigers had come up short in recruiting several other offensive linemen. They had started to show interest in Thurmon after his camp performance but did not offer until others ahead of him on their board made decisions. Thurmon also has offers from Florida, Duke, Wake Forest, Georgia Tech, Missouri and others.

In a story by the Alabama website BamaOn3, USC target RB Daniel Hill said he will visit Alabama again July 29th, apparently forgoing the USC cookout the day before. He also stated that his father wants him at Alabama. His father played at Mississippi State. Hill will announce on August 23rd. Tennessee and Southern Cal also remain involved with him. All three national networks are predicting Hill to South Carolina.
