Another week in July brings another round of commitment announces with USC first up with a key target on Monday. SAF Malcolm Ziglar of Fuquay-Varina, NC announced a commitment to North Carolina over the Gamecocks and Notre Dame. Those were his three official visits in June. The Gamecocks have one safety committed in Kelvin Hunter of West Florence, though LB David Bucey could be used as a safety. They have offers out to uncommitted safeties Kam Mikell, Jalewis Solomon and Kaleb Harris.
DT D’Antre Robinson of Orlando, who has USC among his final choices, is set to announce Friday. He made an unofficial visit to USC in May. His official visits were to Florida, Alabama and Texas. He has fall officials scheduled with Ohio State and LSU.
Clemson cornerback target Corian Gipson of Lancaster, TX will make his commitment announcement Saturday. His finalists are Clemson, Texas, Ohio State, TCU and Alabama. Gipson has been tough to read with Clemson and Texas the apparent top two. The national networks are split on their projections with 247Sports liking Clemson and On3 and Rivals predicting Texas.
One-time Clemson target CB Jalyn Crawford announced a commitment to Auburn on Saturday.
USC offered 2025 OT Will Black (6-7 290) of Wallingford, CT.
Silver Bluff LB Jayden Fuller committed to Miami of Ohio.
CB Terrence Smith of South Aiken committed to Connecticut.
The USC women offered 2026 6-3 Oliviyah Edwards of Tacoma, WA.
USC target 6-2 Elijah Crawford was offered by Stanford.
RHP Lucas Mahlstedt (6-2 180) is transferring from Wofford to Clemson. In two seasons working primarily working out of the bullpen, he was 9-3 with a 4.23 ERA and 6 saves. He had 97 strikeouts to 29 walks in 115 innings.
2024 RHP Peyton Rogers of West Florence committed to USC.
