Clemson has 13 commitments in their 2024 class to this point, but none of them are big uglies. The Tigers do not yet have an offensive line commitment. They are hoping that will change over the next two weeks as four of their offered targets come forward with their commitments.
Two of those linemen will announce this week, Ronan O’Connell (6-5 275) of Franklin, TN on Tuesday, and Williams Satterwhite (6-5 300) of Akron on Friday. Both are choosing between Clemson and Tennessee. O’Connell also made a visit to Wisconsin.
Satterwhite and O’Connell both visited Clemson officially for the Tigers’ major recruiting weekend of the summer June 2nd. They also made unofficial visits to Clemson in April. Those visits left Satterwhite with a positive impression of the program and the school.
“I have a great relationship with the staff at Clemson,” Satterwhite said. “It’s like I’m already a part of the Clemson family. They love my character, my play style, and my family. I hear from coach (Thomas) Austin and coach Dabo Swinney the most.”
Satterwhite has yet to make his decision, and indicated the things that matter most to him about college football and college life are there for him in Clemson and Knoxville.
“Really just the atmosphere and the academics,” Satterwhite said. “It feels like home for me, and the staff at both are just so loving and friendly. I’m really close to a decision, really close to finally knowing where I want to choose.”
Satterwhite is being recruited as an interior offensive lineman.
