#STRecruiting: #Gamecocks are set for their second recruiting weekend of June

The official visits will continue at USC this weekend. The Gamecocks hosted six prospects last weekend. This weekend they are scheduled for 11 more official visits including committed TE Michael Smith. The Gamecocks are still looking for their first public commitment for June. They are sitting on nine commitments.

DE Dominic Nichols of Oakdale, MD has USC and Clemson in his top eight. The others on his list are Virginia Tech, Michigan, Wisconsin, Georgia, Florida State and Kentucky. Nicholes took an official visit to Wisconsin last weekend. He is scheduled to visit Michigan this weekend and Kentucky next weekend. He visited Clemson unofficially in late May and could be back for their cookout in late July.

USC is in the top six with WR Joseph McVay of Earle, AR. The others are Penn State, UTSA, Vanderbilt, Texas A&M and Tulane. He is scheduled for an official visit to Vanderbilt this weekend.

USC commitment WR Mazeo Bennett was on the Florida State campus Tuesday night and Wednesday for a 7on7 tournament and told Noles247 the FSU coaches have kept in touch with him. He said Alabama and Miami have also been in contact but he remains firmly committed to the Gamecocks. He is scheduled for his official visit to USC June 23rd.

Clemson and USC target 2025 DT Elijah Griffin was offered by Oregon.

SAF/WR Myles Woods (5-10 160) of Loganville, GA committed to Coastal Carolina.

RB Turbo Richard of Northwestern is taking an official visit to Boston College this weekend.

2025 DT Amare Adams of South Florence made an unofficial visit to LSU Friday. He made an unofficial visit to USC Tuesday. He has also visited Clemson and Tennessee in the last two weeks.

2025 DT Sterling Sanders of Blythewood made an unofficial visit to USC Wednesday.

2025 Richland Northeast QB Will Wilson visited TCU Wednesday.

RHP Matthew Marchal (6-3 215) is transferring as a grad student to Clemson. He was 11-4 with 4.58 ERA this season with 93 strikeouts in 92.1 innings pitched.
