The top-ranked USC women completed their first ever perfect regular season and clinched the SEC regular season championship outright with a 73-63 win over Georgia Sunday afternoon in front of 18,000 fans at the Colonial Life Arena. Senior Aliyah Boston recorded the 78th double-double of her illustrious career with 25 points and 11 rebounds. Kamilla Cardosa also had a double-double off the bench with 13 points, all in the second half, and 11 rebounds. And senior guard Zia Cooke added 12 points.

The Gamecocks used a 10-2 run in the second quarter to break a 25-25 fie for a 35-27 halftime lead and went on from there to their 17th straight win over the Bulldogs. The Gamecocks dominated inside outscoring the Bulldogs in the paint 42-24. They had 18 offensive rebounds and outscored Georgia 17-0 in second chance points.

USC will go into the SEC Tournament next week in Greenville as the #1 seed and will play their first game Friday at noon. The Gamecocks are 29-0 overall and 16-0 in the SEC. They will take a 35 game winning streak into the postseason.
