The change-up is very much a part of baseball. After Clemson threw baseball coach Monte Lee a curve by firing him after last season, Lee countered with his own change-up, joining Mark Kingston’s staff at USC as the associate head coach and recruiting coordinator. For Lee, the move was a return to his coaching roots. He spent six seasons working under Ray Tanner as the Gamecocks emerged as a national power with three straight trips to the College World Series.
Lee’s only goal now is to help Kingston get the program back to that level. He joined us on SportsTalk earlier this week to talk about doing just that.
I love that M Lee is back as Gamecock and glad he accepted the job !! I would listen to your interviews with him even when he was in the upstate,,, pulling for Kingston & crew for great year
