Two stops on the Palmetto Pigskin Tour for 2022, two defending conference champions checked off the list. Wednesday night it was SC State of the MEAC. Thursday night it was Newberry College of the South Atlantic Conference.
Coach Todd Knight guided the Wolves to a 10-3 mark last season, including 7-1 in the SAC. The Wolves defeated West Florida in the opening round of the Division Two playoffs, then lost at Bowie State in the final minute of their second-round game.
The great news for Wolves fans is that much of that team will return in 2022, led by quarterback Dre Harris of Mauldin on the offense and safety Marcus Morgan of Greenwood on the defense.
