Clemson Friday afternoon offered 2024 OT Blake Franks (6-5 310) of Greenville becoming the latest major program to offer the rising Upstate star. Franks was offered earlier in the week by Alabama. He also holds offers from USC, Penn State, Miami, Louisville, Ole Miss, Coastal Carolina, South Florida and Miami of Ohio. Frank camped at USC and Clemson earlier in the summer and at Alabama earlier this week. He’s also taken unofficial visits to several of the school that have offered hm.
USC target OT Jatavius Shivers was offered by South Florida.
OT Rico Jackson of Fort Lauderdale, who was offered by USC in June, decommitted from Illinois.
Sumter DE Monteque Rhames will announce tomorrow night at 700. He’s down to USC, Georgia, NC State, Michigan and Alabama.
USC fans, and others, are going to have to wait a little longer for a commitment announcement from OT Oluwatosin Babalade of Hyattsville, MD. Babalade had planned to announce his choice from USC, Maryland, North Carolina and Rutgers on Sunday afternoon. But Thursday night he tweeted that he was postponing the announcement to another date which is still to be determined.
DT Elijah Davis of East Mississippi JC and Wagener-Salley said he won’t make it to Columbia this weekend for the USC recruiting festivities. He has visited several other times and plans to set an official visit.
2024 Mazeo Bennett of Greenville plans to visit USC Friday and Tennessee Saturday.
USC 2024 QB commitment Dante Reno plans to return for a visit this weekend.
OT Elijah Phillipe of Lackawanna JC, PA began his official visit to USC Thursday. This is his first official visit. Virginia Tech and Florida State are his other P5 offers.
Camden DT Xzavier McLeod and his parents visited USC Thursday. He’s made several unofficial visits with the Gamecocks including for the spring game. He has taken official visits to LSU and Michigan, and he is visiting Georgia Friday.
Oceanside Collegiate OT Monroe Freeling apparently visited Alabama Thursday.
