Sumter DE Monteque Rhames (6-6 240) of Sumter tweeted Saturday afternoon that he’s ready to announce a commitment decision. “Commitment coming soon,” Rhames tweeted. Sunday night he said he does not yet have a day in mind for making the announcement. He was in Columbia Saturday on another unofficial visit watching camp activities and visiting with coaches. Rhames has made numerous unofficial visits to USC during the recruiting process and has had them on his short list along with Virginia Tech, NC State, Georgia, Michigan, UCF, Florida State and Coastal Carolina. DT Elijah Davis of Wagener-Salley and East Mississippi JC visited Florida State Saturday. Davis has also visited USC, Alabama, Ole Miss and Tennessee unofficially this spring. His offer list includes those schools along with Alabama, Georgia, Auburn, Miami, Texas, Virginia Tech, Maryland, Texas Tech, Ole Miss and UAB.
Clemson target DT Jamaal Jarrett named a top three of Georgia, North Carolina and Auburn. He plans to announce his commitment in July.
USC target OT Jatavius Shivers of Villa Rica, GA committed to Vanderbilt.
Clemson and USC target WR Ahmad Brown committed to Ole Miss.
USC handed out several more offers after observing prospects in camp:

- 2025 LB Brett Clatterbaugh (6-2 220) of Culpeper, VA.
Jackson committed to Illinois June 5th. Some of his other offers include Michigan, Colorado, Cincinnati, NC State, Indiana, Boston College and UCF.
Clemson target DT Stephiylan Green moved up his commitment announcement date to June 22nd from the 24th.
Former Clemson commitment TE Reid Mikeska committed to Miami.
2024 DE Justin Greene of Dacula, GA was at USC Saturday. He has an offer from the Gamecocks.
2024 SAF Kelvin Hunter of West Florence visited USC Saturday.
USC target LB Jaden Robinson made an official visit to Kentucky over the weekend. He was at Maryland last weekend and is scheduled for USC next weekend.
USC target DE Zay Hardy visited Florida over the weekend.
Clemson target DE Hunter Osborne made an official visit to Texas over the weekend.
Clemson is in the top 10 with 2024 CB Tavoy Feagin of Tampa. The others are Miami, Alabama, Ohio State, Georgia, LSU, Florida, North Carolina, Florida State and Oklahoma.
2024 OT Kam Pringle of Woodland was offered by Virginia. He plans to drop a top ten list on his birthday September 13th.
2024 OT Blake Franks of Greenville was offered by North Carolina
Wren SAF Travon West visited Florida State Saturday. He recently picked up offers from Indiana and James Madison.
DL/OL Matthew Scicchitano (6-4 280) of Mt. Carmel, PA committed to Coastal Carolina.
2025 LHP Brandon Cromer Jr. of Lexington committed to USC. He’s the sixth reported commitment for the Gamecocks’ 2025 class.
Former Clemson signee SS Chris Maldonado is headed to Vanderbilt where he will join his brother with the Commodores.
Spring Valley 2B/OF Brent Gibbs decommitted from Clemson.
5-11 Dylan Williams of Irmo committed to Mineral Area College in Park Hills, MO.
College of Charleston offered 2024 6-3 KJ Greene of Columbia, also a USC target.
2024 6-4 Cam Scott of Lexington could take unofficial visits to USC and Tennessee this week he told Lou Bezjak of The State. He’s also looking at an official visit to North Carolina relatively soon he indicated to The Tar Heel Story.
