All of a sudden, the Clemson men’s basketball team has figured it out. After stumbling through a six-game losing streak, the Tigers have reeled off consecutive wins and head into the final week of the regular season with some confidence. And perhaps, a full roster.
Head coach Brad Brownell met with the ACC media on Monday to recap his team’s recent wins over Wake Forest and Boston College. The Tigers head coach also presented a glimmer of hope that his team would be at full strength at some point this week. “PJ won’t practice today, he never practices two days before,” Brownell responded when asked about the availability of PJ Hall, who has missed the last two games with a foot injury. However, when queried about Hunter Tyson’s absence due to a broken clavicle, Brownell stated, “Hunter is going to try and do some stuff today for the first time. Physically, in terms of competing five-on-five. There’s a chance he could play Wednesday.” He did add that both are “wait and see”, heading into Wednesday’s home matchup with Georgia Tech.
The Tigers host both the Yellow Jackets (7pm on ACC Network) and Virginia Tech (Saturday at 2pm) to close out the regular season. The ACC men’s basketball tournament tips off next Tuesday at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York.
