Shane Beamer Sunday Conference Call (AUDIO) #Gamecocks

Nick Muse and the USC offense were unable to sustain many drives in Saturday’s loss to Kentucky (Gamecock Football)

South Carolina’s offense spent much of the time on the sidelines Saturday night, as the Gamecocks fell to 0-2 in the SEC with a 16-10 loss to Kentucky at Williams-Brice Stadium. USC ran just fifty-one offensive plays during the game with fifteen of them coming on third (3-of-12) and fourth (0-for-3) downs. So, despite the Gamecock defense forcing three turnovers, that unit ultimately wore down against the UK rushing attack as Kentucky took sixty-six snaps from scrimmage and enjoyed an eleven minute edge in possession time.

On Sunday, Shane Beamer held his weekly conference call to recap the game and start looking forward to Troy. Beamer explained his decision to roll the dice multiple times on fourth down, along with lamenting the missed opportunities of his offense against the Wildcats.
