Shane Beamer Sunday night conference call (AUDIO) #Gamecocks

USC football coach Shane Beamer has had the pleasure of talking about wins in his first two Sunday night calls with the media as a head coach. The Gamecocks overcame a 14-0 deficit at East Carolina Saturday afternoon to win 20-17 on a field goal by Parker White on the final play of the game. If Beamer is 3-0 at the same time next Sunday, get the SEC Coach of the Year award polished for him. That’s because he would be coming off a win at Georgia, and the Gamecocks are 32-point underdogs as of Sunday night.

This Sunday night Beamer was still enjoying the benefits that come with victory, albeit not a pretty one. The Gamecocks practiced lightly Sunday night, and Beamer said quarterback Luke Doty was able to go harder than he did a week ago. He is expecting him to be 100% for this Saturday night but said he won’t run him out there if he isn’t. This week Doty will compete with Zeb Noland for the starting job, with a starter not likely to be named until gametime.
