Alex Urban’s walk off home run, his first career homer, propelled Clemson past Georgia Southern 6-4 in North Augusta, Tuesday. It was Clemson’s first walkoff homer since Logan Davidson victimized North Carolina in 2019. Caden Grice got the Tigers going with a three-run homer in the first, his sixth of the season. Kier Meredith also went deep for Clemson (9-9), his first of the season.

Head coach Monte Lee employed five pitchers. Starter Carter Raffield and relievers Rasesh Pandya, Rob Hughes, Geoffrey Gilbert and Nick Clayton (2-0) scattered four hits, allowing only two earned runs.

The Tigers will next return to conference play with a three-game set at Boston College. First pitch of the series is scheduled for 4 p.m., Friday.

  1. Hi,
Just heard your comments that no school has a building program. Try looking outside of SC and look at real college basketball teams like the Villanova. When you become educated then you should be allowed to speak. If you would like someone on your show with real college basketball/ sports knowledge, let me know. I grew up in an area with 5 sports and right out of college I worked for a pro team.
Would love to add some real sports knowledge to your show.
