#STRecruiting: National Signing Day Notebook (UPDATED 6:40)

Source tells us CB Isaiah Norris (6-0 170) of Georgia Military and TL Hanna has signed with USC but there won’t be an announcement until Christmas Day. Norris had been committed to Middle Tennessee State but the offer from Shane Beamer soon after he took over the USC job changed his direction. He also had offers from Tennessee and Washington State. Norris played in 2019 at New Mexico Military JC and had 5 interceptions. He will not play this spring for GMA and will focus on his grades so he can leave in the spring.

DE Byron Young of Carvers Bay and Georgia Military Wednesday night announced a commitment to Tennessee Wednesday. He chose the Vols over USC and Ole Miss.

DB Nyke Johnson of West Florence signed with Virginia Tech.

AC Flora TE Banks Pope, who was once committed to Appalachian State, will walk-on at Clemson.

DE JT Geer of Belton-Honea Path signed with Syracuse.

WR Jaylin Tolbert of Greenwood signed with Georgia State.

DE Omarion Hammond of AC Flora signed with Georgia State.

Green Sea-Floyds RB Jay Dixon signed with Georgia State.

OT Jaydon Collins of Greer signed with Wake Forest..

Gaffney DT Tyrion Ingram-Dawkins signed with Georgia.

USC may have some interest in former Illinois WR Ricky Smalling (6-1 205). The Chicago native did not play this season and is in the transfer portal. In his career with the Illini he had 88 catches for 1141 yards and 8 touchdowns.

WR Joshua Burrell of Blythewood signed with Florida State.

DB Caden Sullivan of Boiling Springs signed with Appalachian State.

Rock Hill TE Robbie Ouzts signed with Alabama.

Former USC commitment DE George Wilson signed with Florida State.

North Myrtle Beach DE Chase Simmons was contacted by Michigan State today and feels the Spartans are close to offering. He’s also expecting to hear today from USC and Tennessee. He’s also been contacted by Syracuse. He has been committed to Coastal Carolina but as a blue-shirt for the 2022 class. Things could change for him if he’s offered by one of these Power Five programs.

LB Camden Gray of Chapman signed with Wofford.

Strom Thurmond DE Brandon Williams signed with Wake Forest.

WR Kendall Long of River Bluff signed with Syracuse.

Chapin OL Gentry Thornton signed with NC State.

Dillon WR Ahmari Huggins signed with Louisville.
