Kentucky powers past #Gamecocks 41-18 (AUDIO)

Kevin Harris reached the 1000 yard mark with a 210 yard effort against Kentucky (Mark Cornelison)

Two good pieces of good news for USC fans Saturday night. The regular season, and possibly the season itself, is over. And the search for a new coach is over with Shane Beamer taking the job. Kentucky handed the Gamecocks their sixth straight loss 34-10 leaving the Gamecocks at 2-8 for the regular season, their fewest number of wins in a season since the winless team of 1999. The Wildcats took advantage of a depleted Gamecock defensive group. Only two defensive starters who played in the season opener against Tennessee were in the starting lined up against the Wildcats, and the lack of talent, size and depth showed. The Wildcats rushed for 291 yards and passed for 201 yards. The lone bright spot for the Gamecocks was running back Kevin Harris. He rushed for 210 yards and a touchdown and became the 9th Gamecock to rush for 1000 yards in a season. His total of 1138 yards this season is the 5th most in school history.
