Voters not moved by this weekend’s football results

QB Trevor Lawrence is set to return to the Clemson lineup this week after a bout with Covid ACC Pool/Bart Boatwright/The Clemson Insider

Notre Dame was the only team in last week’s AP top five to play Saturday. The Irish won but did not move in the poll. In fact, the top eight spots are identical to last week. Alabama received 60 of the 62 first place votes, taking a vote away from the Irish even though the Crimson Tide did not play. Ohio State picked up the remaining first place vote and is third. Clemson and Texas A&M remain 4th and 5th respectively. Florida, Cincinnati and BYU held their positions at 6-8. Indiana moved up one to 9th and Wisconsin is now 10th, up three from last week. Coastal Carolina, which also was idle Saturday, remained 15th.
