
USC is in the top 3 with TE Michael Trigg of Lake Wales, FL. He also has LSU and Southern Cal in his top three. Trigg also is a basketball prospect and wants to play both sports in college. All three of his finalists are on board with that. Trigg cut seven other schools from his top ten. Those are Michigan State, Auburn, North Carolina, Kentucky, Penn State, Ohio State and Illinois. USC tight ends coach Bobby Bentley is looking for the Gamecocks next Hayden Hurst. Trigg is in the mold. “They like the fact that I’m versatile,” Trigg said. “I can flex out and also put my hand in the dirt. I guess they are saying there’s not too many people like that.” Trigg caught 82 passes last season for 1232 yards and 16 touchdowns.
USC offered 2022 LB Edwin Wilson Tara Kolenge (6-3 225), a native of Montreal who attends Clearwater Academy International School in Florida.
Lakewood SAF James Wright was offered by Kansas. He’s currently committed to East Carolina.
Clemson basketball coach Brad Brownell already has a Columbia prospect locked in for the 2021 class in 6-3 Joshua Beadle of Cardinal Newman. Thursday he handed out two more offers in the Capital City. One went to 2022 6-1 PG Jazian Gortman of Keenan. Gortman also has offers from USC, Wake Forest and Ole Miss. The other was for 2023 6-7 Brandon Gardner of Gray Collegiate. Gardner also has offers from Winthrop and Illinois.
Clemson and USC target 7-0 Jonas Aidoo of Charlotte was offered by Alabama.
2022 SS Cooper Blauser of John’s Creek, GA committed to Clemson. He’s the son of former Braves SS Jeff Blauser.
