Clemson is sitting on two offensive line commitments for the 2027 class, and the Tigers look to be in a great position to add a third Monday night.
JJ Brown (6-6 305) of Lilburn, GA, made his official visit with the Tigers over the weekend. He had planned to make his commitment announcement on June 23rd, after his other planned officials to Georgia and Auburn. Sunday night, he said he would announce on Monday at 6:00 PM via Rivals.
“The weekend was pretty good. Nothing too crazy really happened. Just overall, the visit was just a great experience,” Brown said.
Brown added that it was a big relief to have made up his mind on where he wants to play his college ball.
“Oh, definitely,” Brown said. “Just the simple fact that a lot of stuff went into this decision, and I just feel like I want it to be done after waiting on the right school.”
If Brown does announce for Clemson, a major reason for his choice would be the relationship he has developed with offensive line coach Matt Luke.
“You’ve got to build relationships to get people to commit, and Coach Luke, I would say, is my favorite relationship out of all the coaches that I possibly could have,” Brown said. “When you have a good relationship with a player, you get to coach them hard. And I want to get coached hard. I want to learn the game more than I already do.”
Brown also has Florida and Florida State on his short list. Some of his other offers are South Carolina, NC State, Pitt, Kentucky, Purdue, Georgia Tech, Mississippi State, Michigan, Vanderbilt, Nebraska, and North Carolina.
