


OT Maxwell Hiller of Coatesville, PA has set his first official visit for this summer, and it is with South Carolina for June 19th. The Gamecocks have been in Hiller’s top eight along with Clemson, Penn State, Maryland, Ohio State, Georgia, Tennessee and Alabama.
Per Paul Strelow, Clemson has interest in former LSU DT Walter Mathis, a player they recruited out of high school.
Clemson target CB Kenny Woseley of Penn State is headed to Virginia Tech.
Based on various reports and social media posts, South Carolina had 30 visits from free agents from January 4th through January 10th. A dead period ends on Thursday, and the Gamecocks are set to resume visits with more free agent targets:
Texas State free agent OL Tellek Lockette (6-3 320) is scheduled to visit South Carolina on Friday. He has Rutgers on Thursday. (Chad Simmons)

OL Dara Adeyami (6-8 300) has South Carolina down for one of his upcoming visits. The Gamecocks offered on Sunday. Stanford, Cal, Kansas, Oklahoma, Alabama and Auburn are some others involved. (Adam Gorney)
Scratch the visit to South Carolina for Thursday by TE Gavin Harris of New Mexico, who will visit Georgia Tech instead. Tech just got a commitment from another Gamecock TE target, Spencer Mermans of Yale. (Chris Hummer)
Pitt OL Jackson Brown (6-6 305) visited South Carolina last weekend. He has also visited UNLV, and he told TheBigSpur he will also visit Houston.
There was reporting Tuesday night that South Carolina cornerback Jalewis Solomon was entering the Transfer Portal, but GamecockCentral later received information that Solomon was staying with the Gamecocks.
Clemson target DT Francis Brewu of Pitt has agreed on terms with Notre Dame.
Former Clemson LB Jamal Anderson is headed to SMU.
Former South Carolina QB Air Noland is headed to Memphis. He started his career at Ohio State.

QB Hank Hendrix of Fayetteville, AR, who was offered last week by South Carolina, committed to Arkansas, and he reclassified from 2027 to 2026.
Clemson and South Carolina target DE Anthony Sweeney was offered by Texas Tech.
South Carolina and Clemson target DE Rashad Streets was offered by UCLA.
Clemson and South Carolina target Jayden Aparicio-Bailey was offered by Texas A&M.
