STRecruiting: South Carolina continues with the rebuild of the offensive line with the addition of Seth Smith from Northern Arizona

A sixth free agent offensive lineman has agreed to terms with South Carolina. Seth Smith (6-5 305) of Northern Arizona announced on Sunday that he is joining the Gamecocks. he visited earlier in the week. He also visited James Madison and Northwestern. Smith is a native of Chandler, AZ, and joined Northern Arizona in 2021. He became a full-time starter in 2024 and was a team captain this past season. Smith is the 14th player taken by the Gamecocks out of the Transfer Portal.

Academic Notes: Majoring in health sciences, fitness and wellness.

2024: Played in and started all 13 games… Helped the Lumberjacks rush for the sixth-most amount yards per game in the conference, rushing for over 200 yards in four games.

2023: Did not play.

2022: Played in six games, making his collegiate debut on Sept. 24 against Idaho.

Fall 2021: Did not play during the season.

High School: A three-year letterwinner for Chandler High School… Named All-6A Premier Region Second Team as a senior… Won the AIA Open Division Championship as a senior, beating rival Hamilton in the final to finish the season undefeated… The Wolves also finished the 2019 season 10-0 and won the Open Division title over Saguaro… Chandler also finished the 2018 season 9-1 and won the 6A state championship over Perry.
