



With all of the current focus on the transfer portal, new South Carolina offensive coordinator Kendal Briles is looking to the future. On Wednesday, the Gamecocks’ offensive leader extended an offer to 2027 quarterback Hank Hendrix (6-3, 175) of Fayetteville, Arkansas. This season he passed for 3,602 yards and 32 touchdowns. He added another 153 yards and 6 TDs on the ground.
Throughout the fall, Hendrix received offers from Auburn, Duke, Ole Miss, Syracuse, and Wisconsin, taking an unofficial visit to Auburn for the “Iron Bowl” in late November. He also holds offers from Arkansas, Appalachian State, Missouri, Michigan, Michigan State, Texas Tech, and Virginia Tech.
Hendrix began his high school career at Boerne High School in Texas. As a sophomore, he completed 274 of 389 passes for 4,237 yards, 46 touchdowns, and only six interceptions. During his freshman campaign, Hendrix threw for 1,586 yards with 18 touchdowns and only one interception in nine games.
