



Improving the secondary is one of the primary concerns for Clemson coach Dabo Swinney this offseason, and he has chosen to bring in a veteran from a program he just faced in his last game. Penn State CB Elliot Washington (5-11 192) announced that he had reached a contract agreement with the Tigers on Monday morning after visiting over the weekend. He also visited Virginia over the weekend.
Washington is a native of Venice, FL. He also attended IMG Academy, where his father, who played at Alabama at the same time Swinney was on the football team, is the basketball coach. who spent three seasons with the Nittany Lions. He appeared in 36 games, starting one. He had 53 tackles with two interceptions and 11 pass deflections for his career. He did not play in the Pinstripe Bowl win over Clemson after deciding to enter the Portal.
