CHARLOTTE: Clemson coach Brad Brownell, guard Dillon Hunter and forward RJ Godfrey represented the Tigers on Wednesday at the ACC TipOff in Charlotte. It was a chance for the media to get to know the Tigers for this season as they seek a third straight NCAA Tournament appearance and a fourth straight 20-win season.
Of course, the Tigers are still getting to know one another themselves. Brownell has a roster of ten newcomers and three returnees, only one of which, Dillon Hunter, played last season. So, in essence Clemson returns 5.4 points, 2.5 rebounds and 1.9 assists from last year’s roster.
However, one of the newcomers this season is former Tiger forward RJ Godfrey who transferred back from Georgia, so he knows the landscape.
The Tigers will have an exhibition game against Presbyterian on October 17, and will open the season at home against New Hampshire on November 3rd.
