7-0 center Jones Lay of Hickory, NC, who was scheduled for an official visit to South Carolina this coming weekend, announced a commitment to Florida on Tuesday. Lay also had Santa Clara and St. Mary’s in his top four. He visited Florida this past weekend. Lay attended Green Sea-Floyds and Atlantic Collegiate in North Myrtle Beach before transferring to Moravian Prep.
6-8 Jalan Wingfield of Thomasville, GA, who had South Carolina among his favorites, committed to Georgia Tech on Tuesday. He made his official visit to Georgia Tech the weekend of August 22nd. He had not scheduled an official visit with the Gamecocks. He did have other OVs scheduled with Cincinnati, Florida State and Vanderbilt.
2027 DE Rashad Streets of Raleigh was offered by Clemson. Streets visited Clemson for the LSU game. South Carolina has also offered along with Georgia, Duke, Southern Cal, Texas A&M, Ohio State, Notre Dame, Oregon, Florida State, SMU, Florida, Auburn, Penn State, Tennessee, Missouri, Kentucky, Ole Miss, Michigan State, North Carolina, Miami, Maryland and Georgia Tech.

Catawba Ridge 2027 CB Joshua Dobson will visit Notre Dame Saturday. He has also been to games this season at Oklahoma and Clemson, and was in Atlanta for South Carolina vs Virginia Tech.
