Conway, S.C.: Coastal Carolina has fielded some truly exceptional baseball teams over the years, including a national championship-winning one in 2016. The 2025 version of Chanticleer baseball is proving to be another special installment. On Saturday, the Chanticleers reached their fourth straight NCAA regional final with an 18-7 pounding of East Carolina in front of a record-setting crowd of 6,432 at Springs-Brooks Stadium.
According to CCU, the 18 runs were the most Coastal has scored in an NCAA regional game since the Chanticleers blitzed Stony Brook 25-7 in the 2010 tournament. The victory was also the team’s 50th of the season, marking just the sixth time in program history that a Chanticleer baseball squad has eclipsed the half-century mark in wins.
CCU will face the winner of Sunday’s elimination game between Florida and East Carolina in the regional final at 6pm.
