South Carolina missed on DT Brian Harris (6-2 285) of Jacksonville when he announced a commitment to Oklahoma on Friday afternoon. Penn State, Michigan, and Alabama were his other finalists. Harris visited USC for a junior day in January and for the spring game in April. He was scheduled for an official visit on May 30th.
RB Carsyn Baker of Fairburn, GA, has canceled his official visit to Clemson for May 30th. He made an official visit to Florida last weekend. South Carolina has also been in the mix with Baker, but he has not set an official visit date with the Gamecocks. Coming up, he has Florida State on June 6th, Ohio State on June 13th, and Texas A&M on June 20th. Michigan and Texas are among his newest offers in May.
Clemson will not get an official visit from OT Mitchell Smith of Picayune, MS. The Tigers offered on April 5th. He told On3 he has set visits with Vanderbilt for May 30th, Auburn June 6th, Ole Miss June 13th and Alabama June 20th.
Clemson is one of the final four with DE Zavion Griffin-Haynes (6-6 220) of Rolesville, NC. The former UNC commitment has set official visits to Clemson on May 30th, followed by Michigan, Nebraska, and Florida State. He has a commitment date of July 1st.
Clemson target SAF Blake Stewart was offered by Arkansas. He has taken an official visit to SMU and is scheduled for Clemson May 30th, Miami June 13th and Michigan June 20th.
OT Zachary Lewis (6-5 282) of Suwanee, GA has set an official visit to South Carolina for June 20th. He has Georgia Tech May 30th followed by Georgia and North Carolina.
South Carolina offered DT Tyson Bacon (6-4 265) of Hoover, AL. He’s a former Tennessee commitment. He has scheduled official visits to Florida on May 30th and Tennessee on June 20th. He visited Georgia on June 16th. This spring, he visited Tennessee, Michigan, and Georgia. He also has offers from Colorado, North Carolina, Ohio State, Miami, Kentucky, Missouri, Auburn, Alabama, Ole Miss, and Mississippi State.
South Carolina CB Kosci Barnes of Greensboro, NC Was offered by NC State.
2027 LB Jalaythan Mayfield of Lincolnton, NC visited South Carolina Thursday.
Clemson target 2027 LB Max Brown was offered by Ole Miss.
Michigan was in on Friday to see Dutch Fork DE Julian Walker.
2027 Woodruff RB Aiden Gibson (6-1 203) picked up recent offers from Marshall and NC State. He also has offers from South Carolina, Florida, Virginia Tech, Coastal Carolina and Liberty. Last season he rushed for 1555 yards and 27 touchdowns.
